토마토es are a favourite summer crop for greenhouses and, if started early enough in heat, can produce six to eight or more trusses of fruit during the summer and autumn. There are hundreds of varieties to choose from, with fruit coming in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours. Tall or indeterminate varieties make the best use of space, and are trained as single-stemmed cordons on wires or canes up the inside of the greenhouse. Bush varieties don't need staking and are suitable for growing in pots, some even in hanging baskets. Some varieties are suitable for growing outside, particularly in southern regions.
